We're convinced Hanmer Springs has the best backyard in New Zealand. Come and explore our beautiful alpine village located 1.5 hours north of Christchurch.

With just 5 minutes walk to the Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools, day spa, cafes, restaurants and boutique shops, the day is all yours - in fact we suggest you stay at least two nights to truly enjoy our piece of paradise. Bike the trails, walk the forest and discover our giant wooden sculptures and the enchanted woodland with fairy doors; or just soak in our on-site wood-fired hot tubs while enjoying the tranquility of our Hanmer Springs Holiday Park. The main attraction in our beautiful village is our award-winning Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools and Spa but it doesn't stop there... You will never be short of something to do from markets, galleries, waterslides, jetboat rides and quadbike trips. Try your hand at mini golf, go fishing or maybe even skiing. We have it all here for you; or just lie back and relax while stargazing.

Who doesn't need a visit to the Lolly Pot or Fudge Shop? We even have a Toy Shop in town and some of the best sushi around... all this while the ladies can check out the fantastic retail shops. We really do think we have it all in Hanmer Springs!

Back at our Hanmer Springs Holiday Park you can kick back and relax with a fresh espresso coffee while you wait for your locally made gourmet pizza to cook in our on-site pizza oven. Keep the kids happy on our fun carts, on the jumping pillow or on our giant digger in the sandpit. There's space for the kids and for you to enjoy the landscape and mountains whilst sitting amongst our beech and native plantings.

Yet another great stay at Hanmer TOP 10. Lovely clean facilities and the showers and toilets are nice and roomy. Quiet location with lots of birdsong. Very well kept park. Friendly helpful staff. Short walk to town plus the lovely Dog Stream walk is right next door.

Amazing nights stay in the 2 bedroom apartment, these are well worth the money. So close to town and a mini putt just next door. The park was well set out, quiet and with beautiful scenery. We only stayed one night but could easily have stayed longer.

Is the Park pet friendly?

In all TOP 10 Holiday Parks, medically certified guide dogs are permitted. Most of our Parks welcome responsible pet owners, with their dogs that are well socialised and properly cared for. All bookings with a pet must be arranged by prior agreement with the Park. Conditions apply. Please contact the Park to find out more information about Park directly about rules around dog breeds, time of year/dates and for more information.
What is the check in and check out time?

Check-in time is from 2pm on the day of arrival. Check-out time is 10am on the day of departure. Late check-outs may be arranged directly with the Park. Contact details for all TOP 10 Holiday Parks can be found here
Is smoking permitted in the Park?

Smoking is NOT permitted in any of our buildings or our playground/Jumping Pillow area. We ask you to be mindful of of other guests who may be in close proximity to you.
What is the walking distance to the township?

It is just a 5 minute walk into the village. There is an uphill rise to the main street but the village is very close.
How can I make a reservation for the on-site wood-fired hot tubs?

Please phone us on 0800 904 545 or visit the friendly reception staff to make a reservation for our on-site wood-fired hot tubs. We provide you with a basket containing pool towels, chilled water, glassware and additional wine glasses (if required).
What time is the Park reception open?

Our Park reception is open daily from:
Summer: 8.30 am to 8.00 pm
Winter: 8.30 am to 7.00 pm
Do you have a meeting room at the Park?

We have a meeting room that caters for up to 35 people. It has a large LCD screen, laptop connection, lectern, whiteboard, WiFi, SKY, fridge, chairs and tables. Tea and coffee facilities are available. Quality local catering options are available.

What are the Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools?

There are many thermal pools to soak in which are at various temperatures; as well as rock pools and sulphur pools. There is a kid's activity pool, lazy river and lap pool. There are state-of-the-art hydroslides to ride then picnic areas to rest in, or the Tea Kiosk Cafe and Grill to dine in. The day spa is next door.
