Check in time is from 2pm on the day of arrival. Check out time is 10am on the day of departure. Late check outs may be arranged directly with the Park.

If you are going to arrive outside of reception hours, we will arrange a late check in for you. You will need to have a paid and confirmed reservation in place, and then we will leave an envelope in the Late Arrivals box (at reception door). This will include a map and keys (if staying in accommodation). The envelope will have your name and reservation details on. There may be several envelopes in the box, so please take care to select YOUR envelope,

We love dogs here at Ross Beach TOP 10 Holiday Park, and we encourage you to bring your fur family with you if your holidaying in your own accommodation, i.e. Camper van, motorhome.
Unfortunately, we do not allow pets at tent sites nor in or at our accommodations. You cannot have a pet in a crate in your car or on the deck at your accommodation.

Holiday parks can be busy places, especially during peak seasons. With people moving on and off site, there are always vehicles around. Cars, caravan’s and motorhomes pose a potential hazard to your dog. On-site, your four-legged friend must always be secured on a lead to prevent them getting into an accident.
One thing we love more than a dog is a well-behaved dog! If your pets will be staying with you we ask you to adhere to the following conditions of stay:
1. Pets must be always on a leash due to the number of native birds/animals/park resident cats (and occasional children!) We reckon the best place for an off the lead run is at the local domain in Ross township.
2. Barking must be kept to a minimum especially at night by 10pm. If your pet is causing a disturbance, you will be asked to leave without refund.
3. Please clean up after your pets, their business must be picked up, wrapped and disposed of in the bin. We sell doggy bags in reception.
4. No pets to be left unattended in your vehicles, even if your only at the beach.
5. Pets must not enter the communal amenities or accommodations.

It is your responsibility to ensure that you are complying with these rules at all times

We require full payment at time of reservation when booking online, however we can work with you for alternative arrangements, please contact us on: 021 428 566 to discuss.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Eftpos, & Cash. At reception you can also pay by Apple-Pay, Google-Pay & Alipay in addition to the online methods.

IMPORTANT…. There is not a TOP 10 sign at the end of Ross Beach Road, we are working to get this remedied, however it’s taking a long time.

Goggle maps is correct, so add our address as Ross Beach TOP 10 Holiday Park, 145 Ross Beach Road, Ross, 7812 and you will be brought right to the park.

Driving South from Hokitika, approx. 28km or a 20 minute drive.
Travel through Ross, as the road turns sharp left take the road directly opposite, Ross Beach Road. We are approximately 1km down this road. The road ultimately leads to the beach and our boundary.

Travelling North from Franz Joseph it is 130km, approx. a 1.5hr drive. As you approach Ross there is a large TOP 10 park sign on the left, the road will turn sharp right, you must turn sharp left onto Ross Beach Road. We are approximately 1km down this road. The road ultimately leads to the beach and our boundary.

Our team is experienced in group bookings and will work with you to find the right fit of rooms and campsites. Our park is particularly well placed for cycling groups, weddings and family reunions. Unfortunately at this time we do not have dedicated charging points within the park. There is a fast charger at Hokitika New World, approx. 28km north of the park.

With the amount of rainfall that the West Coast receives, we recommend small tents only for a couple of reasons:

Our grounds are not very flat, and so that means that larger multi room tents will find it trick to get a flat area to pitch the tent. We recommend a single room tent, no bigger than 4m x 4m.

Secondly, we do not allow vehicles onto the grassed area, you park in the car park and must carry your tent to the tenting are. It’s not far, just a few metres, but large tents tend to have a lot of equipment associated with them.

Unfortunately, swimming in the ocean is limited to a few very calm and flat-water days, we have strong tides and unpredictable ocean floor. Once you see the beach you will understand!  If you do happen to be here on a calm day, please be vigilant, there are no lifeguards on duty.

There are a few nearby swim options: The lagoon in the river about 3km along the beach heading north, the Totara River about a 1km walk from the park, or you could swim in Lake Mahinapua just a 10 min drive north of here.

Our beach is fabulous for driftwood, fossicking, Pounamu and Penguin tracking! Plus, most of the year you can enjoy a beachside fire at our chillout zone by reception. Firewood & beanbags provided… all you need to do is bring the marshmallows 😊

Yes, we have a couple of options available to you:

If your battery is removable, feel free to charge inside your pod accommodation.

If your battery is built into your ebike please bring the ebike to reception, where we have an area with power suitable to charge these bikes.

Please DO NOT take your cycles inside the pods. If you require lockable storage of your bike, please ask at reception. Should you be found to have caused any damage by taking cycle into the pods there will be a hefty fine payable.

We are operating away from the townships mains sewage system and have a Bio-system in place that cannot deal with chemical toilet waste, therefore we do not offer a Dump Station.

There is a public one in Ross at the information centre, and another one in Hokitika.

You are welcome to fill your fresh-water tanks here, we have the BEST water around as we have our own water treatment plant, and the water quality superb and is PH neutral …. Lovely, tastes good too.

We do offer unlimited Wi-Fi, it’s not the fastest or the strongest, and it is reliant on satellites, so on rainy, cloudy days it can be a challenge! We have chosen not to limit the usage because of the quality of service, but we do ask that you use it fairly and be mind-full that there are others wanting to use the service.

Yes, we have a new 8-seater shuttle service bus that can move you, your cycles, your luggage around the trail, or we can relocate your vehicle from Greymouth to Ross or Ross to Greymouth. Please call us on 021 428 566 to discuss. We are fully licenced shuttle operators. Check us out on www.rossbeachtop10.co.nz. We also have a few trail cycles available should you wish to sample the nearby cycle trail

In addition to all our funky accommodation and spacious sites, we have many fabulous facilities. Our communal facilities of camp kitchen, communal showers, toilets, ambulant shower and family bathroom with a baby bath option are all within 40ft shipping containers. We have a BBQ and full kitchen with pots, pans, crockery and cutlery. We also have additional showers for peak times. Within the main facilities area, we have a soft drink vending machine, giant chess, connect 4 and badminton. We also have laundry facilities with 2 coin operated washers and dryers. They cost $4 per load (2x$2) and take about 40 minutes per cycle.

Our Park has a TV lounge located in the main facilities area where you will be able to watch all sports games on Sky and the full range of Sky TV. We're only missing Sky Movies, but the Smart TV can view Netflix on your own account.

We sell food and drink in the summer months through an on-site, off-license that has beer, wine, premixed drinks and a woodfired pizza takeaway. This is located at reception within the chillout zone. You can pull up a beanbag and have a campfire whilst watching the sunset or making smores with the family.

We have a jacuzzi spa bath that can be hired out for private sessions. The private sessions each last 45 minutes in the water and a full cleaning cycle between hires. The hire fee includes the first two guests, with additional fees for up to three additional guests. This is available from 2pm until sunset. Book early as the sunset time is the most popular. This can be done online at the time of booking, so call ahead and we can book this in for you.

A 75% refund will apply to cancellations 72 hours or more before the date of arrival. No refunds will apply to cancellations within 72 hours of the date of arrival. All cancellations for bookings made on top10.co.nz must be made via the TOP 10 Online reservation system here using your reservation confirmation number.
