Immersed in history, Hot Water Beach is not only a geographical phenomenon with hot volcanic water seeping up through the beach sand, but also surrounded in the history of Aotearoa, from ancient Maori Pa sites to the pioneering gum diggers of the Coromandel. Today memories of World War 2 remain where the old Radar Station watched the ocean for the enemy ships. Time has grown over these memories, but the allure and vision of this coastline are immaculate and not to be missed.
You can take a short stroll down to Hot Water Beach from Hot Water Beach TOP 10 Holiday Park. We are a family owned holiday park with award winning park grounds. Our variation of accommodation offers comfort for all travellers, from families to the happy camper.
A picturesque holiday spot with a lively surf beach, the white sands of Hot Water Beach hide an underground river of natural hot volcanic water bubbling to the surface. Each hot pool is completely washed away with the rise and fall of the tide, leaving a fresh sandy plot ready for the next arrival of visitors. Great fun during summer and winter!

Travel to Tairua on the Coromandel Peninsula.
Drive through Tairua, continue onto State Highway 25 to Whenuakite. Prepare to turn right just after the school.
Travel +-5kms, turn right onto the Hot Water Beach Rd, Hot Water Beach TOP 10 Holiday Park turnoff is on the right just past the bridge.
To access the hot pools on the beach, follow the road to the end where you will walk back across the beach towards the rocks.
The hot pools are only accessible two hours each side of low tide. TOP 10 members will receive a FREE spade.
