Hīmatangi Beach TOP 10 Holiday Park is the cleanest and friendliest Holiday Park in the Manawatu region. Our Hīmatangi Beach Holiday Park is sheltered behind the sand dunes of the wild west coast. Come and relax at the beach!

We are approximately seven kilometres from State Highway 1, half an hour from Palmerston North and two hours north of Wellington. We are the perfect spot to stop at after doing the Tongariro Crossing, before sailing Cook Strait on the Interislander ferry, or just to get away from it all. Our Hīmatangi Beach holiday park is three hundred metres from the wild, rugged beach, where you can check out the rustic driftwood huts or even make your own. Sit on the beach and enjoy the most amazing sunsets, play in the waves, throw a line out to catch some fish, or explore the massive sand dunes.

We cater to all types of holidaymakers, offering camping sites and budget cabins to self-contained units.

The local Cosmopolitan Club has restaurant nights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, as well as other events and activities throughout the year. The general store across the road offers coffee, takeaways and everything else one could ask for.

The kids will love the adventure playground, skate park, and BMX track. For some family fun, why not have a game of tennis at the local court?

Just returned from 5 nights here with the family staying in a cabin with friends camping nearby.
The whole experience was excellent - the family that run the place are incredibly friendly, the place is extremely clean and all the facilities are excellent.
Kids loved the playground, games room and playground and beach close by.
The vibe of the whole place is relaxed and friendly. Looking forward to returning one day :)

Amazing holiday park, located next to a beautiful beach. We spent Wellington Anniversary weekend with a few other families and all had an epic time. The owners are super friendly, helpful and keep the place super clean, even during a busy period. The property has all the facilities you need and everything to keep the whole family entertained. We loved this place so much, we are already planning our next trip.

Is the Park pet friendly?

In all TOP 10 Holiday Parks, medically certified guide dogs are permitted. Most of our Parks welcome responsible pet owners, with their dogs that are well socialised and properly cared for. All bookings with a pet must be arranged by prior agreement with the Park. Conditions apply. Please contact the Park to find out more information about Park directly about rules around dog breeds, time of year/dates and for more information.
What is the check in and check out time?

Check-in time is from 2pm on the day of arrival. Check-out time is 10am on the day of departure. Late check-outs may be arranged directly with the Park. Contact details for all TOP 10 Holiday Parks can be found here

What is the cancellation policy?

A 75% refund will apply to cancellations 72 hours or more before the date of arrival. No refunds will apply to cancellations within 72 hours of the date of arrival. All cancellations for bookings made on top10.co.nz must be made via the TOP 10 Online reservation system here using your reservation confirmation number.
