Our large communal area includes our TV lounge with Netflix and Sky Sports, all set for a movie night or watching the big game. Outside, we have you sorted for toasting marshmallows or just keeping cosy on winter evenings, with a riverside fire pit and a chimenea on our communal decking.

We went as a large group and used a range of accommodation options within the campsite, all group members were impressed. The camp ground is well maintained and very tidy. The staff are very friendly. Excellent facilities, kids had an absolute ball. Great spot for families. Whanganui itself is a gem of a city to explore. Highly recommend this spot to all.

Nice little place, staff were very helpful and friendly. Large kitchen and dining room were really nice additions, along with the availability of the hot tub. The small "aviary" was also a fun surprise to see by the reception area. Site was clean, bathrooms were clean, it was a good stay

Easily the best campsite we’ve been to so far! Pitches are not packed together like sardines unlike some other campsites we’ve been to. Huge kitchen, heaps of space and lots of indoor and (sheltered) outdoor space. The heated pool is a bonus. Also the toilets and shower are amazing, even has a hairdryer. Very kid friendly too!

Park FAQs

Do you allow pets?

We allow well behaved pets in our camping areas only. We do not allow pets if you are staying in any of our roofed accommodation including our Glamping Tents. Please let us know when booking if you are bringing a pet with you in your van or tent. You can read our Pets Policy here.
What time is check in and check out?

Check in is any time from 2pm until close. If you are likely to arrive after our closing hours, please call us and we can arrange a simple late arrival pack for you.

Check out is by 10am please.
Do I need to add bedding hire for my booking?

Our Kitchen Cabins and Standard Cabins are provided with fitted sheets on the beds and pillow cases on the pillows. If you are staying in a Kitchen Cabin or Standard Cabin, you can either bring your own bedding and towels or hire some from us. If you need to hire it please do so at booking stage so we can have it ready for you in your cabin when you arrive.

We provide full bedding and towels in all our Motels, Deluxe Unit, Self-Contained Units, Ensuites and Glamping Tents. You do not need to hire any extra, but may want to bring your own extra towels for the swimming pool or to take to the beach.

We do not supply bedding or towel hire to guests staying on their own tents or vans.
How far is the park from the centre of Whanganui?

Our park is approximately 6km from the very centre of Whanganui. We are an easy 10 minute drive to most local attractions. There is a bus stop directly outside where you can catch a bus into the centre. Whanganui town is a gentle flat bike ride along the riverside from the park.
Is there a shop on site?

We have a shop in Reception that sells some useful essentials, as well as delicious fresh barista coffee each day.

We have ice creams and drinks, snacks and easy meals, frozen food and pies, pool toys and card games, toiletries and some camping equipment.

If you don't find what you need in Reception, the nearest high street shops are just 10 minutes away and a 4 Square and pharmacy are just 3km away.

We also have vending machines in the communal areas selling snacks, drinks and ice creams and in summer we have our famous Hot Chip Vending Machine!
How far is the nearest place to eat?

If you don't want to cook, there is a great bar/restaurant and a couple of takeaways just 3km down the road to wards the city, close tot he railway bridge.

In the centre of Whanganui you will find heaps of cafes and restaurants to cater for all types of cuisine.

DeliverEasy and Food Runners also operate and will deliver to your unit/site.

Or you could grab a pizza from Reception and pop it in the oven. In the summer, how about a hot pie from Reception and hot chips from our awesome hot chip vending machine?

What is the cancellation policy?

A 75% refund will apply to cancellations 72 hours or more before the date of arrival. No refunds will apply to cancellations within 72 hours of the date of arrival. All cancellations for bookings made on top10.co.nz must be made via the TOP 10 Online reservation system here using your reservation confirmation number.
