The park is located about halfway between the towns of Taupo and Turangi making it the perfect base to explore the region. We are under 30 minutes' drive from everything Taupo has to offer in summer, yet only 45 minutes from Whakapapa ski fields for your winter adventure!
Welcome to our family-friendly, dog-friendly Holiday Park located on right on the shores of the most picturesque freshwater lake in the world.
Pitch the family tent, park the caravan, or campervan, launch the boat, enjoy the family and create holiday memories.
Just take a moment and enjoy the fishing, make a day of it with the abundant bush and river walks within close proximity, drive to the snow or drop those skis in the water, or there is always the option of that quiet, reflecting stroll along the water's edge...
Motutere Bay TOP 10 Holiday Park is also dog-friendly (we do not accept any dogs during Xmas/New Year school holidays and/or any long weekends). We ask that guests travelling with four-legged friends make themselves familiar with our dog-friendly policy prior to booking and arrival.
With 260 plus sites available for recreational vehicles such as caravans, motor homes, campervans, camper trailers and tents, there are fully serviced, powered sites and large multi-use unpowered grassy sites and accommodation including self-contained units to deluxe cabins, standard cabins and function room we can cater for all your requirements.

Motutere Bay Holiday Park is the only park situated on the shores of the Lake Taupo on State Highway 1.
Whether traveling from the North or South the beauty of our little piece of paradise is that it's so easy to find!
We are Motutere Bay - our facilities cover the full length of the beach and spread either side of the State Highway 1 on 9.8 hectares (20 acres) of park like reserve.
From Taupo, drive 32 kilomteres down State Highway 1. Most of this route follows around the East side of Lake Taupo and is extremely scenic.
Heading North from Wellington, follow State Highway 1. Once through Turangi (located at the base of Lake Taupo), continue to head North. We are located about 15 minutes drive from Turangi - 19 kilometres on the Eastern Shores of the Lake.
