Start your cycling journey at Wellington TOP 10. Bring your mountain bike or hire a bike from the great team at Wildfinder. Cycle to the Pencarrow Lighthouse, or even head down the Hutt River Trail. If you'rere feeling adventurous there is also have some high-speed mountain bike tracks down the Wainuiomata hill just behind the Wellington TOP 10. Situated in Lower Hutt you’ll not only find the TOP 10 itself but the start of the Remutaka Cycle Trail. So why not make a weekend of it and head over to the Wairarapa?
Once you get to the Wairarapa, the Martinborough TOP 10 team will help you unwind and settle in. But while you’re here, you can hire a bike from the Park, or check out Green Jersey for e-bikes, 6-person croc bikes and cycle tours! If you're into mountain biking the RivenRock Mountain Bike park is a professionally designed, purpose-built park for all levels of mountain bikers, 15 minutes out of Carterton. The Wairarapa also has some of the best road cyclings in the country with an active cycling club and friendly locals who will welcome you on the group rides. Or, if you want to keep it cruisy, take a cycle tour through one of the many vineyards in the region!

You can tackle as much as you like of nearly 200 kilometres of scenic trails and enjoy views of the Pacific Ocean, winding rivers, orchards, vineyards, and mountains. Plus, plenty of cafes, country pubs and world-class wineries for refreshing stops on the way.
Did you know Whanganui River TOP 10 is on the Mountains to Sea Cycle Trail? The trail goes right passed our door, so it’s a great place to stop off on that incredible journey. For a family local trip out, the new Cycle Bridge at Upokongaro is just 5kms from us. Hire a bike from the Park and head up to the bridge, grab a coffee, snack or ice cream from Behind the Door on 4 or a beer from the Riverboat Bar, then make your leisurely way back to us for a soak in the spa. Heading the other way, take your bike down one of the many cycle paths through the city and all the way out to the beach. It’s a relatively flat 12kms to the sea, most of it right along the banks of the majestic Whanganui River.
Right on the back door of Napier Beach TOP 10 you’ll find the Water Ride cycle trail. Starting in Ahuriri, Napier, the trail runs along the coast to the wetlands. The popular trail from Ahuriri to Bay View is concrete and 7kms. You can decide whether you stop back at the Napier Beach TOP 10 and have lunch at the onsite Snapper Café, or continue on the trail into Havelock North and find yourself back at the Holiday Park for a relaxing evening on the beach.
