Winter daytime temperatures range from 12° to 17° Celsius. It never gets really cold and it doesn’t snow! This means, you won’t forget how warm feels because you’ll never be cold enough to miss it! But, all of our Self Contained Units have heat pumps installed which means you can be as cosy as your heart desires!
Russell TOP 10:
All of our villas are provided with Heat Pumps and electric blankets, our cabins have heaters inside with extra blankets to take that chill away. Good way to warm up inside is by cooking up a feed for yourself or the Whanau on the communal BBQ’s!
Paihia TOP 10:
Electric blankets on every bed in Superior Cabins to keep you nice and toasty no matter the weather!

You’re in luck because our reception serves delicious hot chocolate and coffee which we think is the perfect way to warm up!

Enjoy the onsite Sauna & Spa for some relaxation. With heating in roofed accommodation, and electric blankets on some of the beds - it doesn’t matter how cold it is outside! Gather around a fire down on the beach, or fire up the BBQ and enjoy some hot kai!

Kauri Coast TOP 10 :We have a awesome and unique Nature Trail onsite, learn about the rivers, trees and wildlife that make this Park such a special place, we also have a inside table tennis located in our games room, and with rugby season here don’t fret we have all sports channels available in our communal lounge.
Whangārei TOP 10:
Warm up with a swim, sauna or spa down the road at the aquatic centre! Or, spend time at Action Zone Whangarei and have some wicked fun playing in the arcade. Or get the blood pumping with a round of laser tag!
Russell TOP 10:
Throughout the year the Town Hall hosts movies which is great especially if it’s a rainy day! We are also fortunate enough to have Waitangi Treaty Grounds located just a ferry ride away on the other side of the Bay!! Pompallier Mission and Printery House is a must do to learn all about the arrival of the French when they arrived in Aotearoa. They have guided tours throughout the day and is also a fabulous hidden spot for a delicious coffee and snack! We also have many great local eateries throughout town.
Paihia TOP 10:
Don’t worry about a little bit of rain! Grab your wet weather gear and embark on one of many incredible hikes in the area. Treat yourself afterwards with a visit to a local winery to warm up!

You can’t beat the fun and excitement of tubing down the river here at the Kauri Coast TOP10 Holiday Park and enjoying our awesome swimming hole fun for all ages-swimming togs and sunscreen. Newly opened Kaihu Valley cycle trail, cycle from Dargaville to the Kaihu Tavern.

Go for a beautiful walk around the Town Basin and Marina, while you're there check out the amazing Hundertwasser Building after trying some of the amazing cuisine that the basin has to offer.
Russell TOP 10:
Nothing beats Long Beach on a beautiful summers day! Long Beach is only located a kilometre away from camp so is perfect walking distance! And to make it better there is a coffee cart there for all your coffee needs during the morning. A lot of Russell’s eateries are located on or near the waterfront which makes for a stunning view for meal or just a drink while on holiday. Flagstaff provides 360 degree views of the Bay and you can either walk there or drive, be prepared to see some Weka’s, they often hang around up there! Have a jump on the jumping pillow and enjoy the stunning sunsets that present themselves. And to top it all off at the end of the day you can come and grab an ice cream from reception for all those sweet tooths.
