“Motueka is super special to me,” says Ashlee. “I still remember being with my grandparents, Rhonda and Doug, when they first visited the Park while considering purchasing the lease - Nana was 60 at the time! For the next few years, we’d stop in with them on our way to Wellington during the school holidays. My sister and I would lend a hand to Jen and Steve, who then bought the holiday park from Nana and Doug a few years later.”
The Park itself has a rich history, originally a small reserve site known as Fearon’s Bush before becoming a Holiday Park known as Fearons Bush Holiday Park prior to TOP 10. Since then, it has grown significantly, with each generation leaving their mark. Jen and Steve raised their four children here, and in 2017, Ashlee and Ben made the move from the West Coast to carry on the family tradition - this time raising their own children in the vibrant Motueka community.
For Ashlee, being a part of the Parks past, present, and future, is something she is incredibly proud of, and this life has always been second nature for her. She grew up at Wellington TOP 10, earning her pocket money as a housekeeper, and spent countless hours with her grandparents at Greymouth Seaside TOP 10, where she remembers ironing pillowcases as a child - learn more about the history of Greymouth Seaside TOP 10 here!
Now, Ashlee and Bens children are creating the same memories as the generations before them, building lifelong friendships and growing up surrounded by the beauty of the Tasman region. With its beaches, sunshine, friendly locals, and returning guests, Motueka TOP 10 Holiday Park is more than just a place to stay – it’s a part of the story for many families, including the Levien’s.
