For Aimee, holiday parks are part of her DNA. Her parents, Ian and Vicki, owned and operated Waihi Beach TOP 10 while raising Aimee and her siblings at the Park. Growing up at the Park, Aimee learnt the ropes from a young age and experienced the unique magic of the holiday park community first hand.
Cormac brings a solid background in construction, and his practical skills have been essential to the Park’s ongoing upgrades and hands-on care. Together, Aimee and Cormac saw Ahipara as more than just a business - it was a chance to create something meaningful for their family and community.
Their first season was full of energy and achievement, including the completion of a new guest facility block and plenty of positive feedback from happy return visitors. Guided by a vision to preserve the Park’s relaxed, nostalgic feel while making thoughtful improvements, the O’Keeffes are committed to keeping Ahipara special for years to come.
Running the Park is a true family effort. Aimee leads operations, marketing, team support and guest experience, while Cormac manages all things maintenance, infrastructure, and special projects. Their two young sons and friendly family dog are often spotted around the grounds, bringing an extra sense of warmth and joy that guests instantly connect with.
While Aimee and Cormac are busy running Ahipara, Aimee’s brother Daniel and his partner Siân are carrying on the holiday park tradition further north at Hihi Beach TOP 10. The childhood memories and experiences Aimee and Daniel shared growing up in the industry were so special, they both felt inspired to become Park owners themselves.
