Take a quiet drive through a rainforest to a stunning coastline backed by mountains and only a handful of people in sight. A wild stretch of coastline strewn with river-borne rocks of predominantly schists and quartz.
This is great place to watch at sunset not only the sun sinking into the ocean but the mountains turning to gold. Legacies of mining times include a miners’ cemetery and hillocks of tailings. It’s only a one minute walk from the road end to the beach, but one hour return to the northern lagoon, 1 hour and 40 minutes return to the Miners Tunnel and 3+ hours return to the seal colony.
