The Roxburgh Gorge Trail is one of the best ways to see the beautiful heritage and scenery of Central Otago. This fairly easy ride streteches between Alexandra and Lake Roxburgh Hydro Dam. The gorge was created by the mighty Clutha River and was a primary pathway for early Māori moa hunters. Then there was the gold rush, which has changed the landscape dramatically. The Roxburgh Gorge Trail is definitely not one to miss and can be enjoyed in every season!
